Get ‘Em Off [Updated]

at

This afternoon.

Earlier….

Taoiseach Micheál Martin

This morning.

Via RTE news:

The Taoiseach has told a meeting of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party that the National Public Health Emergency Team may soon draw a distinction between mandatory mask wearing and public health advice.

Micheál Martin was speaking ahead of a NPHET meeting today, where the requirement to wear masks in certain settings will be examined.

There is a clear sense politically that the laws underpinning the wearing of masks will soon lapse.

They could be replaced by health advice about the benefits of continuing to wear masks in retail settings and possibly on public transport.

the lifting of the requirement to wear masks in schools is seen as quite likely by politicians.

Meanwhile…

The Taoiseach told his party TDs, Senators and MEPs last night that the focus must now be kept on vaccination and there could be an annual vaccine.

Um.

Rules over mask wearing expected to change (RTE)

Meanwhile…

Like with the flu shot it’ll probably make sense to have a yearly Covid jab for those in the ‘at risk’ category but fine young bucks like myself and the good folk at BS should be grand without it.

Assuming it continues to mutate as it has, anyway.

As for the imminent mask removal- yay!

So, you have an annual roll of the dice, if it goes wrong you die or suffer life-changing injuries, if it goes right, you get a couple of months leaky protection from a cold virus? Sounds utterly demented.

I have little sympathy myself for them but my smugness and twitter feed leaves a big old grin on my face every morning these days. How many times has Bodger and Nick Kelly been right all along now? They will be asking the pair of them onto Claire Byrne next, which would obviously be well overdue and strangely ironic. I can even see a statue in their honour by the time the year is out, sadly only after we have been reduced to a population of 400,000, it will be devastating but it will show the world, that this is where the real news is now!
Thank you for your services, absolute legends!

If anyone wants to be vaccinated annually against Covid, they should be facilitated in doing so. There should not though be any requirement or pressure placed on anyone to receive the vaccine annually, including medical and care staff. It should be completely voluntary and be in no way linked to any pass system.

Similarly, whoever wants to continue wearing masks, knock yourself out. Personal choice should be the guiding principle for all such measures going forward.

agreed, E’Matty. It’ll be weird seeing faces again, we Irish have a particularly potato-y quality, but things has to get back to normal sometime.

          1. paul

my Grandmother, now deceased, talked about doing that in her youth while taking public transport away from home. Great set of stories after which my Grandfather, also now deceased, took me aside and said that I didn’t have the right face for it, too honest, and that if I tried it, I’d get myself into trouble :)

          2. K.Cavan

I’m the type who strikes up conversation at the bus stop, with older folks obviously, the kids have their faces in their phones & are pretty dumb & boring these days, anyway. I could see how terrified & brutalised the oldies have been by the lies of the State & media, so I’ve had to curtail that. It’ll be some time before their fear subsides & many will go to their graves still carrying the psychological scars.
Half-way through the Fake Pandemic my next-door neighbours of decades passed, within 2 months of each other, both had degenerated mentally from the enforced isolation. They went down under a brutal psychological assault from the MSM & the State, the sooner the farcical remnants of this evil Fake Pandemic operation are discarded, the better.

Ah here now Matty, have you been gotten to? Fake account? You were the one who first alerted me to the vaccine and the planned genocide. Now your saying everyone should have it if they want it. What???? Have you gone full eugenics on it or just happy to see them all die?

      1. E'Matty

I am all for people deciding for themselves Aunt Feb. For me personally, I will go to my grave without being vaccinated for Covid. If anyone were to try force it upon me, they may be joining me in my grave.

If people wish to ignore the reality of the world they live in, and obediently and unquestioningly follow authority, they are making their own bed. I have a sister and both parents fully boostered. I’ve learned there is nothing I can do to stop people making stupid choices or placing misguided trust in authority. I accept a tragic end may await my parents and sister, and indeed many many more, but it’s something I have simply come to accept.

We’re only at the beginning of this decade of transformation. Plenty more to come so I’m pretty relaxed about it at this stage. I’ve made my preparations and am ready to face whatever comes. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I wonder will the covid karens continue to mask up, I’m sure there’s still a few honey nut loopers who love the smell of their own breath. They’ve gone awfully quiet around here now their high horse has been put down. Out looking for the next apocalypse I suppose

    1. SOQ

In fairness Kali- some people just feel safer wearing them and I don’t see why anyone should have a problem with that. We have been subject to the biggest fearmongering campaign of our life times and while some may be able to shrug it off, or indeed not take it on board in the first place- others may take some time..

Live and let live eh? Get the good teeth in and smile at everybody, the old normal IS coming back.

      1. SOQ

Speaking of the old normal- I came across this.

        Dear Globalists,

‘We The People’ have reviewed your proposal for ‘The Great Reset’ and we regret to inform you that we will have to decline at this time.

Although we did find the free trail of the ‘NWO’ very interesting, we have decided to go with ‘The Great Awakening’ instead.

        Yours sincerely,

        The Human Race.

They’re basically comfort blankets for adults.
If you want a blanket go for it, but don’t try and force me to carry one.

  4. doobee23

What would the point be of a yearly jab when the effectiveness wears off so quickly? As it doesn’t make medical sense, it is most likely to be part of the secret deal made with the pHarm boys.
We havent heard much about the ‘needed conversation about EU vaccine mandate’ (according to Ursula, current commissioner) but that doesnt mean its gone away. Austria is going ahead, and the refusal of Trewwdough to lift any mandate indicates to me that the agenda is still on.
Maybe someone needs to tell Klaus the game is up.

I see the EU Digital Covid Cert system is set to be extended out to June 2023. They’re actually trying to frame it as having been highly successful so far.

    https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/13375-Extension-of-EU-Digital-COVID-Certificate-Regulation_en

There currently over 45,000 comments in various languages. I haven’t come across one supporting the measure.

“O certificado digital é uma afronta aos direitos, liberdades e garantias que todos os estados membros…

..Ce pass vaccinal est absolument inadmissible..

..Je suis contre cette aberration de pass et d’obligation vaccinal ..

..This is a violation of citizens fundamental rights to freedom of movement and travel. It is a violation of privacy as citizens should not have to disclose personal medical history to travel freely, nor should they have to disclose personal and medical reasons behind their choices. Citizens fundamental freedoms have been removed, and there appears to be no accountability for this, or impetus to return them…”

    1. SOQ

The EU Digital Cert system was in development for a number of years before CoVid-19. Governments then used it to implement the Leper Passes, which sped up it’s roll out.

A core principle of the EU is freedom of movement or if you are left wing- freedom of labour. This Digital Cert system is the exact opposite of that freedom and yet, governments including our own, are grabbing it with both hands.

Just back from the shops, sounds like I should’ve left it an hour.

My inaugural ‘Make Masks Mandatory Again’ protest is slated for tomorrow.

    1. Micko

      Holy Moly!

Love the guy in red who takes an eternity to react

“Zis is… most irregular, I do not tink dis vould be happening in Germany – OH MIEN GOTT – DAS WASSER!!!” ;-)

  7. K.Cavan

The continuation of mask-wearing will have one advantage, you’ll be able to spot the loons & avoid them. This will be as beneficial to your physical health as your mental health, because those facerags will be crawling with pathogens of all kinds.

    1. Micko

I think it’ll last two weeks for most of them Chris.

Once they see everyone else normal not doing it, they’ll stop.

It’s the same pattern as when they put em on.

There will be people who still insist on doing it, but they’re the folks who are wearing them in cars on their own at the mo ;-)
