Behold: the 1975 De Tomaso Pantera GTS Prototipo – the archetypal hybrid of American muscle car and Italian mid-engined sportscar.

This particular GTS – commissioned by Greek industrialist Tony Mantas, a personal friend of Alejandro de Tomaso – was kitted out with a raft of custom extras starting with a white leather dashboard, no rear bumper and a lowered chassis and continuing with further modifications over the years, recorded in de Tomaso’s own handwriting and included with the sale.

Currently up for auction in Paris, accepting bids between €180,000 and €220,000.

Behold: the 1989 Aston Martin V8 Volante Zagato Convertible – one of only 37 made between 1986 and 1990, assembled by hand with a hand-stitched leather interior.

A rare Aston indeed (with just 549km on the clock), this vehicle spent most of its life on display before receiving a ground-up restoration with new brakes, suspension, a 315bhp engine upgrade, left hand drive conversion and replacement of every item degraded in the last 32 years.

You covet its inexplicable styling and Bentley Magnolia colour scheme.

You’re humming the chorus of Kylie’s ‘Hand On Your Heart’.

But you can’t have this car, because it sold this week for €170,000.

Behold: the 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT: pre-Bond, but similar in looks to its successor, the DB5. The luxurious DB4 was produced from 1958 to 1963 and its GT variant was sportier with a shorter wheelbase, lightweight aluminium panels and a more powerful 302bhp, 3.7-litre engine.

Only 75 were ever made and this vehicle is one of just 30 left hand drive models. Fully restored in 2020 and beefed up with a 4.7-litre engine, it’s expected to fetch at least €2.8 million at auction this Friday.

Behold: the Jaguar Classic C-Type Continuation – an authentic 70th anniversary remake of the legendary Le Mans winning 1951 C-Type complete (and in factory fresh condition) with the original spec  220bhp inline-six engine, plus modern safety features like FIA-approved harnesses and rollover protection.
