Behold: the 1969 Lancia Fulvia HF Competizione – a one-off prototype commissioned by Alejandro De Tomaso and created by by auto designer Tom Tjaarda.

Intended as proof that Lancia could rival Ferrari on the racetrack (it couldn’t), the Competizione had a 1.6L V4 engine set low to reduce its centre of gravity along with innovative (at the time) folding headlights and an active rear wing.

It may not be the prettiest track monster of its day, but it is unique and it’s yours for €155,000.

Behold: the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder – one of just 97 such cars ever made, introduced at the 1953 Paris Auto Show and subsequently dubbed ‘giant killer’ in the wake of multiple victories over far more powerful rivals on the track.

This vehicle, (chassis number 550-0050, not far in order of assembly from James Dean’s death car) was originally exported to the US and fully restored in the mid 1980s.

It was once owned by Pablo Picasso’s son Claude, who raced it in the historic Targa Florio and the first Le Mans Classic.

Behold: the Ares S1 Project Spyder: a completely roofless variant of the S1 coupe created (like its sister) with computer-aided design and computational fluid dynamics to maximise slip.

The combination of a lightweight carbon fibre body and a 715bhp V8 engine rocket the thing to 100km’h in 2.7 seconds. 24 will be released next year and the price of yours is available on request.

Don’t forget your helmet unless you want to be picking flies out of your eye sockets.

Behold: the Bugatti Bolide – a track-only version of the Chiron, stripped and rebuilt for maximum speed and agility.

A massive W16, 1824bhp power plant accelerates the car to 100km/h in 2.17 seconds and – despite no decision yet on whether to proceed to full production – the Bolide has already lapped the Nürburgring in 5:23.1, just 4 seconds slower than the Porsche 919 EVO Le Mans prototype.

Where is your Tuatara now?

Behold: the Volcon Grunt – a beefy, utilitarian, all-electric first offering from Texas-based off-road vehicle startup Volcon – a hog for all weather and almost any terrain.

An impact-shielded tubular aluminium frame, fat knobbly tyres and a 60V 50bhp powertrain make for decent torque, 160km of range on a two hour full charge and a modest top speed of 100km/h. An IP-67 rating means the whole bike can operate entirely submerged in water.

Yous to pre-order (for 2021 delivery) for €5,200 (+shipping).
