Until I found out that this was no run-of the-mill horse-done-good story, but in fact “a work of creepy, half-hilarious master-race propaganda almost worthy of Leni Riefenstahl … [about how] all right-thinking Americans are united in their adoration of a Nietzschean Überhorse“, I had no interest.

Now I’m curious to see if the other horses are threatened with some manner of horse concentration camp/glue factory by jockeys wearing Death’s Head-styled racing colours.

Release Date: December 10.

Gorgeous tilt-shift homage to the city of Berlin, directed by Pilpop.

Your brain will insist that you’re watching an impossibly detailed miniature diorama. You’re not.

‘I dedicate this film to Berlin where I have been living for 19 years now. While the architecture of Berlin is stunningly beautiful, only its inhabitants make Berlin the unique city that it is. In every corner there is something new to discover. And the best thing to do is to film it.’

Here’s the YouTube version for iPhone.

Previously, tilt-shift Van Gogh.

Despite ‘working with computers’, I just can’t summon up the interest in this.  Maybe if I’d actually watched the first Tron in my formative years I’d be more excited, but I was too busy watching robots beating each other up.

Release Date (Ireland): December 17.

Anyway, do we all remember Tron Guy?

A hilarious viral video made as part of Volkswagen’s sponsorship of independent cinema.

Assailed by nerds and cosplayers, firefighters from New York’s Hook & Ladder #8 – the actual location used in both Ghostbusters movies – talk about daily life at the world’s most famous firehouse.

Sadly, it’s not real. It just should be.
