One would wonder whose decision it was to put the UK athlete Jessica Ennis as a sidebar on the RTE website sports page. Surely we have enough high achieving sportspeople from our own island that could be showcased and surely our national and state funded (and licence-subsidised) broadcaster should play an instrumental role in promoting Irish talents?

A bit late to the party but anyone else disappointed with the plot of ‘Skyfall’. The action sequences were great but the sub-plots and emasculation of Bond were too much. Was the script written to appeal blatantly to a female audience?
* Eve critically wounds her colleague yet still gets to keep her job and eventually promoted.
*Severine smoking several cigarettes (yes, cigarettes) in consecutive scenes.
*M unable to shed a tear at the loss of her secret agents, and refuses to resign from her position.
* Silva’s stroking of Bond’s thighs.
* Bond crying liking a baby?
Ah here…anyone?

A good Samaritan contacted us earlier, having found these two envelopes adrift in the bicycle lane on Clanwilliam Place, Dublin 2 at around 3.20 this afternoon.

Both envelopes contain items of value. The front of the envelopes are not blank.

Anyone?

UPDATE: The owner has been found and the envelopes retrieved. For those interested, one contained a few hundred quid in cash, the other a cheque. Now for yeh.
