“A few weeks ago you guys covered the art piece (above) we made on Sandymount strand [Dublin] and how it set sail around our coast. This (top) is the making of video. We have a number of projects lined up for the people of Ireland to enjoy in the coming months.

We have just came back from Burning Man in the [Nevada] Desert where we built a 20ft climbable version of it….

…our Irish representative art piece in amongt the beautiful madness. As one was in water I thought you guys may want to see it’s journey into fire, as that’s what traditionally happened to the Brigid’s crosses….”

Further to our hard-hitting editorial about St Brigid and her irregular-shaped crucifix.

Moira Cardiff (above) writes:

Hi there folks at broadsheet. Just to let you know that the St.Brigid’s Cross is alive and well. There was a workshop held last Sunday in the Seamus Ennis Centre in the Naul, Co Dublin by Ronan Russell of Newgrange Willow Design.

It was attended by young fellas, young ones and oul ones. We each made two crosses which we brought home well in time for 1st Feb.

She is still out there, is St. Brigid…..patroness of poetry also, betcha didn’t know that lads? Happy St Brigid’s day.

Well, that’s us told.
