Retro Vision

A night of VHS and comedy and ‘our’ Emily

Caroline Swords writes:

Come along to Anseo on Camden St Dublin 2, on Sunday December 1st 8pm for an evening of great comedy and terrible movies at Retro Vision – Ireland’s last remaining VHS-only video rental store.

Your host, comedian Brian Cheatle will be joined by funny man Brian Gallagher and comedy promoter Emily O’Callaghan as they return long-overdue videotapes and discuss some of the worst movies you’ve probably never seen.

Tickets are FREE, get ’em on Eventbrite now before they’re all gone!

Every ticket holder will get a free Retro Vision membership card (top) on the night, to use in any of our ONE stores nationwide!…

In fairness.

Green Rebel podcast.

Hosts Emily O’Callaghan and Irina Dzhambazova speak to original mavericks from the creative industries.

Emily writes:

On this episode, we speak with photographer Aoife Herrity (top). In the past five years, Aoife has become what she calls a “quiet” photographer, taking care to compose the perfect shot, filled with humanity and semiotics.

Hosts Emily O’Callaghan and Irina Dzhambazova meet comedian Catherine Bohart.

Emily writes:

Catherine is a really funny Irish comedian. The kind of funny whose jokes actually pay the rent (not in the ideal gaff she would necessarily choose to, but still)….

She started performing stand-up in 2015 and since then has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks of UK and Irish comedy…

Join us in getting to know Catherine better and hearing about her journey through the London comedy scene, self-doubt, confidence, political stances, writing, mental health, challenging suppositions and coming out to her Dad as bisexual while he revealed he was a priest.

Music by Le Boom.

Green Rebel

A new podcast where hosts, ‘our’ Emily O’Callaghan and Irina Dzhambazova speak to original mavericks from the creative industries.

This episode features DJ, broadcaster and Irish internet pioneer Niall O’Byrne better known as Nialler9, who celebrates 13 years as a blogger this month.

Thirteen years.

Em writes:

The name Green Rebel originates from our definition of a person who carves a unique path from their passion – and through hard work and persistence, makes this passion their career.

In fairness.
