Alex Gibney’s Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God tells the story of four deaf boys who were abused by a priest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the subsequent cover-up.

It also explores the international cover-up of abuse across the world.

Richard Sipe (top) says:

“This is an old, old problem and if you follow this problem to its foundation, it will lead you to the highest corridors of the Vatican.”

Buff LA-based, TMZ gossiptard, Peter O’Riordan (above), from Cork, talked this week about singer Cody Simpson (top) and his plans to meet up with Justin Bieber in Ireland.

No wait, come back.

This was BEFORE warning his colleagues that Bieber may get into trouble if he starts boozing in Ireland.

O’Riordan FULMINATED::

“If he mouths off in Ireland man, in a bar, you might be losing your little Bieber, like. I’m dead serious man. If he carries on the way he carries on here, in Ireland – he’ll get battered, like.”

The warning prompted another colleague to UNLEASH:

“Ireland: come for the Guinness, stay ’cause you’re in a coma’.”

Oh yeah.

Them’s fighting words.

Sailing in Ireland.

It’s not all upturned collars and gin-fuelled bores.

Niamh Rabbit writes:

One of the Irish sailing associations (the IRCA) have set up a series of training sessions around the country so that people can try out sailing on boats owned by their members. It’s a great chance to get out in the middle of Dublin Bay (or off any coast), and really experience the sea.

I took up sailing last summer and it’s incredible. Seriously, you can leave work in Dublin City Centre at 5.30pm and by 6.30pm be sailing with dolphins in Dublin Bay (photographic proof here). Then you come in as it gets dark and get ~~drunk~~ talk about the sea with the rest of your crew. This is a great chance to try out the sport.
