I really love drawing animals and creating strange and wonderful characters that are part animal and human; the type of creatures you would meet in a fairytale. As is common in fairytales and folktales, the adventure that the characters are about to embark on in this scene begins in the woods.

This is a photograph of a 3d paper design of Dublin City I made. I mainly wanted to do something about the man who saved his rabbit from the Liffey last year, because it’s lovely. So I have him diving into the Liffey to save the rabbit and then again on the bridge giving him a kiss.
Then I just wanted to frame that with different little things from around Dublin.

This is an excerpt from a time lapse sequence of over 1500 photographs that follows the transformation of a Peking Opera male actor into a gorgeous female character. I shot this in my studio, on a top floor of a warehouse building, in an old part of Beijing, where I used to live between 2005-2010.
