Behold what is claimed to be the work of tattoo artist, Ryan L. Fitzjerald from Dayton Ohio – currently facing a $100,000 lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend Rossie Brovent who claims she was promised an idyllic tattooed scene from Narnia, but instead got a pile of crap with fly accessories.

 Apparently Ryan found out that she had cheated with a long-time friend of his and this was his way of getting even.  Originally Rossie tried to have Ryan charged with assault but it turns out this crafty tattoo artist got her to sign a consent form prior to the tattoo and it said that the design was ‘at the artists discretion’, she claims; “he tricked her by drinking a bottle of cheap wine with me and doing tequila shots before I signed it and got the tattoo”.  “Actually I was passed out for most of the time, and woke up to this horrible image on my back.”

To the left, Aaron Barr: ceo of US Government-contracted digital security firm, HBGary Federal – the man who tried to take down the ‘headless’ hacker collective Anonymous, and had his ass, his company and his reputation handed to him last week.

Convinced that Anonymous was a tiny group, Barr set out to identify the names and addresses of its leading hackers by cross-referencing Twitter and Facebook data. At one point, he bragged to a colleague:

“They think I have nothing but a heirarchy based on IRC [Internet Relay Chat] aliases!” he wrote. “As 1337 [possessed of formidable hacking skills] as these guys are suppsed to be they don’t get it. I have pwned them! :)”

Very foolish words. Last week, when Barr went public with his claim to have identified three Anonymous hackers, Anonymous struck back.

Inside 24 hours, the HBGary Security network was DDOS’d and replaced with this message. 40,000 company emails stuffed with nondisclosure agreements, confidential documents, salary numbers, and other sensitive data were extracted from the corporate server and posted up on the Pirate Bay. 1TB of backup data was reportedly deleted and one hacker even claimed to have remotely wiped Barr’s iPad.

Barr’s Twitter site ended up like this.

So far, the attacks have cost Barr a fair slice of his reputation as a digital security expert and HBGary millions of dollars. But here’s the capper.

According to Anonymous, the entire operation was carried out by a team of five, one of whom is allegedly a 16-year old girl.

Poor Aaron. As Ichabod Crane could have told him, it’s never a good idea to f**k with the headless.

The FULL and UNABRIDGED story: How One Man Tracked Down Anonymous And Paid A Heavy Price (Ars Technica)

Currently doing the rounds of the blogniverse is the salutory tale of young Jack Weppler: an aspiring actor who recently broke up with his girlfriend.

She didn’t take it at all well.

In fact, she visited a spectacular online bunny boiler on him, spamming macro’ed images of his headshot to the point where a typical Google search for Weppler revealed the results you see above.

In a message since removed from the Google Helpmaster Forum, Weppler’s distraught mother complained;

My minor son’s ex-girlfriend took a copyrighted picture of him (we own copyright) and uploaded it more than 60 times to a website. On each image she wrote slanderous, defamatory and pornographic captions. The webmaster of the site states he removed the images 6 weeks ago, but Google Search still shows all the images. My son is so stressed out and embarrassed and we’ve done everything we can to get images off of Google including URL removal tool, a letter to Google Legal with all the URLs because of copyright infringement, and nothing has worked!

The cache is still stubbornly in place. Even now, Wepplers’s Google search results still look like this.

So. No chance of you kids patching things up before Valentine’s, then?
