Footage of an underwater sinkhole above a collapsing salt mine in Louisiana shot last Wednesday by members of the Assumption Parish Of Emergency Preparedness.
The phenomenon is part of an ongoing environmental disaster at Bayou Corne which has already forced the evacuation of an entire town.

Some people in high-vis jackets are clearing the little triangle of forgotten trees and shrubbery at the corner of Shaw and Townsend Streets [Dublin}. Anyone know if this is [Dublin City] Council planning to build a park, or am I too optimistic? I’ll miss the big old cherry blossom trees, they have already torn one down.
