At the weekend, Tom O’Dea emailed about his bike (above) after it was cruelly lifted from South Richmond Street, Dublin “outside OYA cafe”.

He thought it was gone forever.

He writes:

“I still know you don’t normally do this but the bike I emailed about last weekend was spotted last night at 9:00 being cycled along the North Quays outside Liberty Hall. Someone was cycling it along the path against traffic hence why my friend who was driving lost him. I’d really appreciate highlighting it since it’s still around the city centre. It actually has red wheels now unlike in the photo.”

Yikes.

Was this clobber in your cab?

“I know you don’t normally do this… but I lost my grey/silver suitcase, with black zip, measuring 60” tall and containing a stage costume for an 80s tribute rock band. The contents are of no value to anyone bar Jonny Snake – lead singer of Germany’s best-loved, snake-related rock band: Snakes of Desire.
“The suitcase was left in the boot of a taxi, we were picked up from the Leopardstown Inn [Leopardstown, Co Dublin] at 1:30am Sunday morning and driven to Club ’92 (Leopardstown Racecourse). The driver was in his late 40s / early 50s, he was a local man from Ballybrack [Co Dublin] and I think he drove a silver taxi. I’ve called the Garda Stations that deal with lost and found and called all the local taxi firms in the area, all to no avail. Maybe one of your readers has seen a taxi driver going about his day wearing the Jonny Jacket and red spandex?…”

YIKES!

“My other half’s bike was stolen from the rear of our place in Portobello [Dublin] at the weekend. It was locked with a serious looking kryptonite lock behind a locked gate. So who ever took it went to a lot of effort.
As you can see – it’s not easily missed. It’s a NoLogo Bike. With a Flip Flop hub – was flipped to single speed when we last had it – and it has no lights. The bike was a present from me for last Christmas. And his first ‘nice’ bike so he wasn’t that happy to see it missing over the weekend. Your lovely readers may be able to help?”

“One lunchbox (like above), containing a rather delicious chicken, spinach and red cauliflower lunch (I swear it’s tasty). Left at the Dublin Bike stand on Barrow Street at 9/9:05 this morning. I blame sleeping out the alarm and rushing/being late for work. Failing a reunion, I hope someone can enjoy a tasty lunch on my behalf.”

Red cauliflower?

“Molly is a 14 year old mix breed Lab that has been missing since last night. We are very worried about her at this stage, poor thing is very feeble. Please keep an eye out for her. We live in Ballsbridge [Dublin] area. She was last seen in Baggot street. Thankyou.”
