e-bike[Denis with his BH Emotion electric bike back in the Summer]

He doesn’t want a plug.

He wants your help.

Denis writes:

I am looking for your help and that of the public. My electric bike, a distinctive BH E-Motion was stolen from East Business Park [Alfie Byrne Road, Clontarf, Dublin] today. The bike is worth €2000 and means a lot to me as I cycle everyday.

I know you only do these stories very rarely but to have it taken away this time of year is really crap. Thanks.

The careless Regina and Paul O’Sullivan?

Yes!

I found this Christmas card Westland Row, Dublin at 8.15 last night. It had €350 in cash in it, so obviously want to try get it back to Regina and Paul. I’ve blanked the name of the card recipient to be able to verify I’m giving it to the right person and not some chancer! Thanks.

They made hot Ben angry.

No one makes hot Ben angry.

Less than an hour ago, some charming lad in a white beanie decided it would be a smart move to lift someone’s bike from outside the @huskiesagency office in Portview House, Ringsend [Dublin]. Big mistake.

By the time he’d made it over the East Link bridge and stolen yet another bike, our very own hero Ben [in the office] was in pursuit.
We witnessed Ben chase this guy up the quays where they disappeared from view… there was a bit of a showdown, and less than one minute after Ben emerged victorious and plus one bike! He even managed to keep his Christmas Hat intact throughout the whole episode (we were just finishing up our Christmas lunch).
Unfortunately the guy made off with the second bike. These guys were organised and waiting with a van to dump the bikes into. Watch out for them around the area.

Fair play though, in fairness.

Update:

Michael O’Riordan adds:

The bike was owned by Diarmaid in our office,This is also Diarmaid’s last week with us – we sadly part company on Friday, so this would have been a real tragedy for him, and the return of his bike was greatly appreciated. The crazy thing, Diarmaid and Ben are almost lookalikes! We are desperately looking for a chance to get a photo of the two together – maybe your original poster will grab one…

bikeYou can’t miss it.

My 3-week old baby (customized bike) was stolen yesterday afternoon from the steps of DIT Aungier Street [Dublin] where I attend college as a 2nd year Business & Law student. It is the only one in the world as I had it custom made. People saw a slim 5ft 8-10in man with short/shaved dark hair and wearing a grey jacket cycling away with it towards Whelan’s [Camden Street] but could have turned left towards Stephen’s Green or right towards Kevin’s Street at the junction…

This is Peanut. He came into the DSPCA last Friday. He was rescued by a fantastic member of the public who found him in Ballyfermot [Dublin]. Some young people were being cruel to him and had tied a rope around his lower jaw with a wooden pallet attached to the other end. They were chasing him around the green.
The kind gent offered to buy the pony and then paid a passing van to bring him back to his home in Tallaght where he phoned the DSPCA. Peanut is about 4 year old and is a Falabella (one of the smallest breeds of horse in the world). He has no major injuries after his ordeal and will be looking for a new home in the coming weeks. The DSPCA has a number of horses and ponies looking for good homes at the moment. If you are interested please contact us below.

I found a Dublin Bikes card belonging to Fiona Lavelle at the Leeson Street Bridge [Dublin] bike stand this morning. I can drop it into Pearse St Garda Station this PM if she wants to collect it or just send it back to JCDecaux, just thought might save time & hassle if it’s in the Garda Station.
