He’s out in the wild.

Jenny McCarthy writes:

My dog Oscar has just gone missing in the Bath Avenue [Sandymount, Dublin] area. He has a bald belly and leather collar. He is microchipped and my details are on his collar. If anyone has found or seen him please leave details below [Or contact broadsheet@broadsheet.ie]

Anyone?

-1Including this beauty.

They’ve got angle grinders.

David Burke writes:

My bike (above) was robbed this morning between 10.20am and 10.45am outside the Westin Hotel on Westmoreland Street [Dublin]. An eyewitness saw a guy with an angle grinder cut through the kryptonite lock. A bystander approached and was threatened to back off…. I reported it at Pearse St Garda Station but the feedback was that “5 bikes have been stolen in the last half-hour”.

It also seems that a person fitting the description supplied was spotted stealing bikes in various parts of the city including Castle Street. The guards suggested that I reach out to my insurance company.

Depressing as I don’t have insurance given that I bought the bike at Cyclebike 2 weeks ago…The bike is a GT Series Road bike – as per the pic (above) but the saddle and grips are actually black. It’s pretty distinctive so on the off chance than anyone has seen the bike please contact below.

ifscNo not funny money.

Real money.

Aidrian Peyton writes:

My girlfriend found a substantial(ish) amount of money (substantial for the normal Joe that is) this morning at  8:30 around the IFSC area in dublin. Looks like someone might have been taking something out of their pocket and the cash just fell out.

We would like to return the money to its owner if possible. To filter our chancers emails should be sent to ifscmoneyfound@gmail.com with
– the sum of money lost
– the denomination of notes
– where (roughly) it was lost.

Everyone Anyone?

-4A serious bike.

Lifted from Baggot Street, Dublin.

I know you don’t normally do this but it was worth a lot to me. That tag from the saddle was on it when it was stolen as was a few other numbers on stickers on the crossbar. It is a Specialized Allez 2012 model. White drop down handlebars and very red frame. What might be a giveaway would be there is no cap on the rear typre valve. Small but distinct fact. Thank you.

A mixture of both would be ideal.

I know you don’t normally do this but  had my bike stolen from outside my office last Friday in Adelaide Street, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
It was securely locked to our metal railings and they somehow managed to get through the metal u-shaped lock and steal it between 11.35 1pm. I was to do the Ring of Kerry cycle at the weekend for charity and couldn’t get another bike
My bike is a man’s Carreera Gryphon 20” dark grey colour. It has a wooden basket attached to it also. I’d appreciate any help you could give me as this is the third bike stolen in the last 5 years from Dun Laoghaire. I don’t drive and cycle everywhere, so I’m a bit lost to say the least without it

van1-3

Karen writes:

Our caravan that we use for festivals was nicked from our friend’s garden in Foxrock, Dublin. We’re talking to the Gardai but it would be brilliant if your readers could keep an eye out for it.

The top photo is actually one I found online as we don’t have a side picture of our van. The bottom pic is the actual van. It’s a 4 berth, Dalesman 520et touring van.

It’s about 10 years old. Distinguishing features: Car reg written in marker on the back; Sticker of a pumpkin on the front window; Welsh flag sticker on the back. Electronic wires on front are broken and have been repaired with tape. Thanks.

Aidan writes:

Nicked at Sandymount Strand [Dublin]. It was so new – less than two weeks old – that we don’t even have a picture of it. Yes, it was properly locked. Yes, they got it nonetheless. Little shits scamps.
