This is a message directed to the person who stole my disabled mother’s walking stick yesterday…Seriously? My Mum, who has survived a bout of cancer and a life affecting injury to her leg, uses the Drogheda Swimming Pool as a low-impact form of exercise.

The lock was broken on the door of the disabled showers, so she left her walking stick propped up outside to indicate that the cubicle was in use.

Obviously someone saw their opportunity and stole my disabled mother’s cane. Staff were alerted and are keeping an eye out, however, it is unlikely to show up as it was none of them that picked it up.

 Who does that?

May you enjoy you newly acquired walking stick, you obviously needed it so badly that you would see someone who already struggles with mobility further inconvenienced.

Neil Niall Murphy, who would normally take your hand off to post a Lego item like this, is not with us at the moment, hence the depletion in visually stunning and wildly surreal posts. Niall’s dad died at the weekend. All of us here wish Niall and his family our very best.
