A selection of acts from the Popical Island collective are taking over The Stags Head Raw every Sunday upstairs in the Stag’s head, Dame Court, Dublin] for most of March.
Popical Island is a small, hard-working pop collective based in Dublin. Formed by the bands Land Lovers, Yeh Deadlies and Groom in 2010, and it also is home to some of Ireland’s most exciting pop bands, including Tieranniesaur, Squarehead and Pantone 247. They have released two compilations, Popical Island #1 and #2. These compilations introduced the world to many’s the poptastic upstart, like Rhino Magic, Goodly Thousands and Feed the Bears, while featuring gems from the catchiest indie tune-slingers from across the country – your So Cows and your Grand Pocket Orchestras. Popical Island has put out new releases by Yeh Deadlies, Groom, Tieranniesaur, Walpurgis Family, Big Monster Love and Jonny Fun and the …Hesitations.

I know you don’t normally do this but we are an independent cider company from Armagh. We’ve just won silver medal in the InternationalBrewing Awards and are looking for a bit of press.
It is a major achievement given we’ve been in full operation less than a year.
We make our cider with apples we grow ourselves with no concentrates. It is hard to get recognition against the big boys in the cider world especially as an independent brewer starting out. Any form of shout out would be greatly appreciated.
No cash, favours, Toby jugs of cider, etc, were given for this post
