What you may need to know:
1. First came Before Sunrise (1995), then came Before Sunset (2004), now Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy complete the trilogy.
2. The premise: Ethan and Julie go for a long walk, and talk about life, love and getting on. It’s better than we’re making it sound. Before Sunset, in particular is a bit of a classic.
3. The first Before… took in Vienna, the second was set in Paris – this time out it’s Greece.
4. Ethan Hawke went from Gen X pretty boy to hollow-cheeked indie polymath; last year he had a hit movie (Sinister) and got cut out of the Total Recall remake.
5. Slacker maven Richard Linklater has been out of vogue of late; we’re still big fans. His other newish movie, Bernie (2011), starring Jack Black and Matthew McConaughey, is superb.
