Ask A Broadsheet Reader

This afternoon.

As I am not registered with Irish Water they won’t entertain my query so was hoping you could ask your readers.
We had the water meters installed in our area about 1.5 years ago now and it appears Irish Water are back digging up the entire estate (and beyond) over the last couple of months, AGAIN where the original meters were. Has anyone any idea why this might be? Above is the works going on today.
Also, it’s worth noting that they are doing this work under the guise of UPC, with signs (out of shot here) saying “UPC, bringing fibre to your area” with a subtle Sierra logo in the small print. I asked UPC and they denied any knowledge of works going on even though it blatantly has their name all over it. Shnaeky business indeed…

Have you entertained the idea that it’s *not* a conspiracy by Irish Water and that the UPC rep you spoke to was just unaware of the work being done?

Hi Karl! Could you get Sierra to fix the skipping to another article thing when I’m scrolling through a story?

Eh, that was a little NSFW, Clamps. Thanks (not) for the heads up. That was a little embarrassing for me.

It’s cool your colleagues were distracted by the soiled bikini you rolled into work with this afternoon.

It is exactly because of conspiracy quack jobs like this that many said feck this to the water protesters.

So other the Sierra connection how does he know it’s Irish Water? Could be Mexicans digging tunnels on the sly?

It’s called Brazilian and if you insist on doing it at least pay a professional.
