I saw this image used somewhere else on the interwebs, to actually discourage ‘faddish’ alcohol-free episodes such as dry Jan. We as a nation have a screwed up attitude towards drink, no doubt about it.
Our ‘respect’ for Brendan Behan often mythologizes his drinking and reinforces our pub culture…..
