I thought it would be something different/ that maybe Hazel Chu had something to offer. She has. The same old rhetoric and catchphrases of Eamon Ryan. As per her twitter feed. Pity.

I wouldn’t be writing her off just yet. While there has been a lot of talk about the move towards the right in European politics the move toward the Greens has gone, pretty much, under the radar despite this movement outstripping the right in some elections. She’s one of 7 candidates currently nominated to run in Pembroke which is a newly formed 5 seater (in 2014 it was an 8 seater as Pembroke/South Dock). The other six candidates are 3 FG, 1 FF, 1 Lab and 1 Renua. Of those 1 FG and the Labour candidate are sitting councillors.

PBP obviously prefer massive smuggling on an industrial scale by former paramilitaries to a few border posts. A few of them are probably former Worker’s Party members so that would make sense.

PBP supported Brexit. They can’t really moan about what they helped cause. But they will, of course.
