Nice attitude to perceived mental health problem from mental health professional.More than likely it’s not personal and more to do with that disgraceful party that you chose to represent.

While I disagree with destroying posters. Her comment was uncalled for. It was a person who feels FG are not fit for national government let alone local government. Let’s hope that comes through in the results.

Reminds me of an old champion of FF , (and staunch career doley ) in Rathfarnham who had his clan of youngfellas pulling down opposition posters and leaving them littered all over the street and replacing them with FF signs during the final Haughey years in the early 90’s. Are you a doley who wouldn’t work in a fit? Vote FF!!

Mental health jokes? Well done, any suicide ones while we are at it? God help any of her therapt clients who might see how quick she is to blame mental healrh for a criminal act.

Her, Bertie and Enda Kenny could a groyo act, Enda could do the n*gger jokes, Bertie could suicide and she could do more generic laughs at those struggling with their mental health.

While not directly related, I noted that in my constituencies (local and European) there is a good representation of women. I am thinking therefore of only voting for women in each, in the hopes it may help improve the balance in the various centres of power.

Funny how the pendulum swings, acts of complete gender bias in the guise of equality.

To the FG party who destroyed so many lives over the past 9years,I just want to let you know that my voting card will be used in a week.

just out of curiosity: (a) have you ever voted before? (b) have you ever voted for FG before?

      1. Cian

The reason I ask, is that
        a. If you do (normally) NOT vote, then it will put FG at a small disadvantage (the opposition have 1 extra vote).
        b. If you do (normally) vote, and don’t (normally) vote FG – then it is the status quo.
        c. If you do (normally) vote, and do (normally) vote FG – then FG are at a larger disadvantage (FG lost 1 vote and the opposition have 1 extra vote).

I suspect the answer is (b): so nobody cares.

I was (c) (middle class Cork — tis in the genes, boy) but wouldn’t vote for that shower of useless fupps ever again.

You can see through a Blueshirt from space. It’s telling when that’s the kind of retort FG deem clever. Poor Cian.

I disagree with the vandalisation of her posters. She is entitled to air her views. Personally I would rather crawl through broken glass than vote for her.
I live in Galway city, the reason for the public disdain is unclear. Sure, an awful lot of people don’t like Fine Gael , but I have not heard of their other FG candidates posters being targeted.
Another possibility that this is because of the massive public dislike of her sister! But one must also consider that this whole thing was staged to get public attention, sympathy and her name mentioned in the news cycle. Admittedly that sounds a bit far-fetched, but FG has form for this! (Like the BS story of Francis rescuing the dog).

friendly reminder that this is Lorraine Higgins’s sister. The same Lorraine that was rejected 3 times by the electorate and eventually rewarded by Enda with a seat in the Seanad for the Labour party.
The same Lorraine who wanted prison sentences for people who said mean things about her on social media.
