And meanwhile, in another world, Extinction Rebellion protesters are giving out to a cyclist and not allowing them passage, because they should have taken the bus, or driven her car over another bridge, presumably longer distance, so more fuel and more emissions!

clips like that are, for me anyway, weirdly uncomfortable to watch

that pent up frustration inside of her – reminds me of Mrs. Carberry squirming about swinging the shopping bags in the racist episode of Fr.Ted as she tries to desperately express herself

there’s a touch of mental illness going on in many of these kids & I don’t like to see it

I agree. While I do agree that some of it may be genuine anxiety for the future, the over-the-top nature of the responses do indicate to me something inside that is struggling to come out.

I am not saying they are infantile, but it is like a child just learning to talk, but who knows what they want to say, and they devolve into hysterics and tantrums because 1) they can’t make you understand and 2) you WON’T understand.

I think that is why activists like Greta Thunberg and Boyan Slat are so powerful. Greta got angry, but her message was clear and she knew what she wanted to say. Boyan took a different route, and used his skills to do something practical (invented the ocean cleaner now tackling the great plastic swirl in the ocean).

was the bee guy expecting the car to be torched? Why is such a banal and inane observation worthy of a B.S. post? unless the objective it to poor scorn on those who are trying to do something about our climate crisis?

You are sounding a little bewildered there, dav. I would say that that makes this post exactly the kind of thing for the ‘Sheet to post :-)

The protesters have also been seen running diesel generators at a couple of demonstrations, to go along with their big diesel fire engine they bought and used for attempting to spray the fake blood.
