All mass gatherings in Ireland are set to be banned until August at the earliest, it has been reported.

It is understood to be part of plans due to be announced by the Government due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. It is believed that the decision was taken by Ministers at a cabinet meeting today.

The decision means that that all big concerts, sporting events and other events will have to be rescheduled. It is believed that this will apply to gatherings of 5000 people or over…

    these staggered announcements are to deliver the news softly to the army of idiots that comprise most of our population. the realty is there will be no event’s of any kind until we have a vaccine, unless we want to do the way of the USA. I wish people would stop mourning the loss of their personal comforts and adventure and realise that scores of people are losing their lives daily.

      Ah get over yourself. This nonsense has to end soon before the whole country descends into total depression. People are dying all over the country every day anyway. 730 people have died from this virus. In the 6 weeks since the first death that’s 121 people per week. Before this hysteria there was an average of 28000 deaths in Ireland every year – that’s 538 per week. If allowed to continue the lockdown will result in more long term deaths from stress, depression, alcoholism, violence than the actual virus ever caused
