Duffy Passes To Giles

at

Football legend John Giles

Last night.

On Off The Ball:

“A lot of players are not being vaccinated, which I don’t agree with.

“I think they should be vaccinated, he (Republic of Ireland forward Callum Robinson) has had it twice himself who knows where he spread it to when he did have it.

“I think footballers are being given a lot of freedom in this particular situation. I think they’ve been privileged in some of the things that they can do because they’re footballers.

“I read the other day that some of the journalists weren’t allowed in (to the Ireland press conference) because they weren’t vaccinated.

“I can’t understand it and I think in this case I think they’ve (footballers) been too privileged.

“They’ve created an awful lot of rules so that they can go on trips and continue to play and do various things that I don’t think people on the other end of it are being taken into consideration.

‘”think it’s wrong, I think professional footballers are privileged, but when it comes to this they’ve been very loose in allowing certain things to happen.”

Except the so called anti vaxxer was right. The homeless were not vaccinated throughout the worst periods of the pandemic and yet, no large loss of life, despite the generally poor health of that unfortunate population. How do you explain the low number of Covid fatalities in that population when none were vaccinated? Surely this super duper deadly virus you’re all so irrationally and hysterically terrified of should have wiped out that vulnerable group?

      1. Fred

Homeless man in video to anti vax celebrity ‘Im vaccinated you dumb f^^k!’.
So the new world order plan is now to keep the homeless alive and eliminate the taxpayers and mass consumers of the developed countries first. Interesting, I wonder what their plan is now for the resistance fighters like yourself, Bodger, SOQ, Chris, Hmmm, etc etc. Quite the stick you have jammed in their spokes. If I was you I would be extremely concerned about the stuff you are posting here, surely like the hills, they have got eyes on you all.

        1. E'Mcatty

Cool story Fred. As one of the committed Covidians on here, can you perhaps explain why this crazy dangerous super killer virus, you sheeple are so terrified of, didn’t decimate the homeless? There wasnt much social distancing or mask wearing going on in that community, which has a generally poor health status. How could they have survived? These clear inconsistencies in your ridiculous plague narrative are just ignored. Too much cognitive dissonance for you herd types.

        2. K. Cavan

If I was you, Fred, I wouldn’t worry at all, the Elites are sure to give you a free seat on the lifeboat. Someone who’s still going on about “taxpayers & mass consumers” at this stage, when the money printing-presses have been entirely disconnected from the Real Economy must be worth it for the entertainment value.
          Forsooth, Fred, catch ye up!

      2. Kdoc

No the anti vaxxer is not right. She’s as dumb as the the homeless man stated and as dumb as a similar screeching lady who attends every protest in Dublin.

        1. E'Matty

No, she’s right. The homeless were unvaccinated for most of the pandemic and amazingly most are still alive. How do you explain such miracles?

          1. E'Matty

Scottser and Cian, you dumb fupps, that homeless guy was not vaccinated for most of the pandemic. Likely only vaccinated in the past 6 months. The pandemic has been going on for well over 18 months. Homeless people were not dying in droves during the pandemic despite NOT being vaccinated.

      3. Nigel

You’re basing this on what? Has anyone actually studied the impact of the pandemic on the homeless, published the results and proposed likely explanations for those results? How the hell can you possibly make these kinds of claims and draw such conclusions based on absolutely feck-all?

        1. Kim The Cardassian

          Yes they have.

  1. Cui Bono?

It’s about time that the “experts” explained clearly to the ignorant masses that you can still get and pass on covid when you’re vaccinated.

Also, it would be a bonus if they would explain to them that the risk from covid is incredibly low.

The hysteria has gone on way too long now.

    1. SOQ

Giles can pontificate all he likes, in the full knowledge that it is not his career which may be over is an injury occurs. Suspend 40% of the team and see what happens then.

This promoted idea that you are somehow non infectious because you are vaccinated is downright irresponsible.

        1. K. Cavan

Well, SOQ, Johnny is in his dotage now, he’s stepped down from most of his media gigs, I didn’t even know he still showed up on Off The Ball.
It’s shocking to see The Indo, though, spreading fake news about vax injuries.

      1. Jon Smoke

it is not promoted that you are non infectious, it is that you are extremely less infectious.
It is all about keeping the impact to everyone as low as possible. It is widely acknowledged that vaccines are not perfect but the alternative of not vaccinating people would be a disaster.

        1. SOQ

Given the infection rates coming out of Israel- the assumption that you are in anyway less infectious does not stand up to scrutiny.

Vaccinated people can have just as high a SARS-CoV-2 viral load, which is the primary indicator of infectiousness- the same as every other virus.

I’ll go further- it is not just irresponsible, it is downright dishonest to be peddling this myth. CoVid-19 vaccines do not inoculate against SARS-CoV-2 viral infection- period.

          1. SOQ

So explain how Israel now has the highest infection rate IN THE WORLD?

The irony of Sweden banning vaccinated from Israel should not be lost.

        2. K. Cavan

Natural Immunity to Coronaviruses has been achieved at least four times in human history, there’s little reason to assume it wouldn’t have happened again.
It’s too late for that now, anyway, anyone who had an effective injection is probably going to develop Covid if exposed to Sars02, they may even succumb to other Coronaviruses.

      2. Fred

@SOQ Notably absent from the inevitable climate conspiracy posts of late…
‘Hey I said I was crazy, just not that fuppin crazy’
        Sad crank.

        1. SOQ

          ANOTHER username is it?

When someone has to resort to name calling, they have already lost the argument of course.

    2. E'Matty

The media and so called experts are deliberately nurturing this false narrative to further demonise and dehumanize the unvaccinated. One only has to listen to the hysteria based nonsense from Klopp, Giles or that perennial muppet Joe Duffy to see how the populace are being whipped into an irrational hateful frenzy against anyone who dares decline the vaccines.

      1. Papi

It’s less hateful frenzy and more bored to tears with you people telling us you’ve declined. We get it. You’re all extremely brave and clever and all just the best boys and girls.

        Get over yourself.

        1. chris

Vaccine regret kicking in huh Papi? The people commenting against this campaign and all it’s measures are doing so out of concern and the hope of seeking justice.

          1. Poor oul divil

            They are in their hole.
They’re doing it because in more normal times the general populace could just back to ignoring the demented craythurs.

          2. Papi

Where on earth did you get regret from that? Same place the ratlickers get all their facts? Thin air and paranoia.

  2. GiggidyGoo

Professor Giles. One of the ‘scientific’ gurus that some here latch onto for their every word.

    1. Nigel

Yeah, in all the arguing and back and forth, you’d get sick of people going ‘Gilesy said this’ or ‘Gilesy said that’ or ‘yer man Gilesy really knows his stuff. when it comes to the aul MRNA.’

      1. Micko

Remember when Johnny Giles was on Claire Byrne show telling her that he was “terrified” of Covid.

“If I was playing football at age 21, 22 or 25, I definitely wouldn’t as be as scared of it” he said

He forgot that quick enough didn’t he – eh? Seems like he’s still scared.

Some of the interview highlights include:

Johnny thought he had Covid for 12 days after he met two ladies OUTSIDE who asked for directions

If Johnny got a small tickle in his throat he thought “he was a goner”

Johnny was checking his temperature MORE than 4 times every day – on a good day it was only 4!

        https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=725811504692114

Maybe we shouldn’t be listening to someone who has been so unbelievably terrified by this thing.

        1. Nigel

I don’t think anyone’s really listening to him, so you’re safe enough.

(Bit naff to mock the concerns someone who is obviously in a vulnerable age group, though, just to make yourself seem all brave and cool.)

  3. D-troll

i heard there was a car crash on the N7 near the red cow. i wonder if the crash was after the drivers got vaccines. you never know.

ive had heart problems myself. i thought it was due to bad diet and genetics, but maybe it was the vaccine after all. who know.

    1. E'Matty

Well, that’s easy, did you have the heart problems before you received the vaccine? It’s amusing that you’re so clever you chose one of the mainstream accepted adverse effects of the vaccines to try make your silly point.

        1. E'Matty

Nah, if you were killed in a car crash they would have listed you as having died with Covid19.

  4. Lee

I’d say a lot more than 80. I got heart inflammation after Pfizer dose 2. the doctor said its nothing to worry about, but a few months later and I still get chest pains. they don’t bother me but they worry me for the future somewhat. this could shave years off my life for all I know.
