Government sources tell the Irish Examiner that mask-wearing requirements could be lifted as soon as next week

The next phase of state regulation
About Covid demands explanation
They’ll no longer ask
That you wear a mask
Though that’s still a recommendation

You had the same thoughts as me, Mr Moynes!

(And a very elegant rhyme this morning too)

I think many people will keep them, I think for various reasons they are more comfortable like that…

( I love that Dylan Moran line ” naked from the waist down, to accentuate the nakedness “)

slashing last night’s paintings, they’re poo, they’re my paintings….I think I may have actually lived that ;)

If I think I am infected with a flu or covid, even the common cold I will wear one. Too many elderly people vulnerable, norovirus can be lethal as well.

If you met the 2019 version of yourself and told him you’ve decided you’re gonna wear a facemask to protect elderly people in case you have the flu or a cold, do you think he’d look at you strangely??!

Newsflash! Person changes opinion after new life experience:

More on this after the weather with Shirley.

        1. Hank

Changes opinion on what though? It’s very unlikely any opinion would even have existed pre-Covid.
I think the more plausible version of your headline would be “Newsflash! Person has irrational fear instilled in him after being exposed to two years of fear-mongering narrative”

Or if you’re able to momentarily set aside your bias, you might say:

“Newsflash! Person alters behaviour as a result of learning more about viruses and their transmission”

In all seriousness, something that few of us gave any real thought before February 2020 suddenly entered public discourse. We have all become experts (except for Micko). If anything, it would be odd if people did not alter their thinking and behaviour as a result. That’s education for you, sir.

Same here. Always impresses me to see east Asian people doing this as a simple matter of good manners to cover your mouth and nose when you have a respiratory illness. And taking off their shoes when visiting someone’s house.
      I digress.
      Manners people.

And why next week and not now? What difference will a week make? And still they are abusing the school children

If there is one thing Canada has proven, it is that those authoritarian clowns are just making it up as they go along. Here is Ford doing the back peddle now- easy knowing elections are coming up in June.

    They know they are screwed.

Hopefully the same will happen here.
