The highlight of new exhibition at Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View (52 storeys up) celebrating 30 years of the great Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle) featuring, among other things, models of the elaborate flying machines that featured in many of Ghibli’s animated films.
Centrestage is an illuminated, automated model of the airship from Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky (1986). Elsewhere there are posters, collectibles, tribute art and a restaurant serving 11 dishes inspired by the films.
