The highlight of new exhibition at Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View (52 storeys up) celebrating  30 years of the great Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle) featuring, among other things, models of the elaborate flying machines that featured in many of Ghibli’s animated films.

Centrestage is an illuminated, automated model of the airship from Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky (1986). Elsewhere there are posters, collectibles, tribute art and a restaurant serving 11 dishes inspired by the films.

All the world’s a rabbit.

A new unhinged multiplication from UK animator Cyriak Harris, who says of it:

When I first had the idea for this video there were 7 billion people in the world, and I wanted to see what 7 billion of something actually looks like. I’m not entirely sure if I managed to create that many rabbits as I gave up counting them, and meanwhile 400 million new people appeared, so perhaps my work will never be done.

An unhinged, hilarious, nightmarish, BAFTA –nommed 2012 stop motion short by Robert Morgan. To wit:

Bobby Yeah is a petty thug who lightens his miserable existence by brawling and stealing stuff. One day, he steals the favourite pet of some very dangerous individuals, and finds himself in deep trouble. He really should learn, but he just can’t help it.
