Artists Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder are currently living in a 7.6m tall rotating wheel at The Boiler in Brooklyn, NY as apart of an installation called In Orbit.

The giant wheel features furniture and other facilities on the inside and outside circumferences which the artists ‘living’ on either side must cooperate in order to use.

We are, all of us, mere hamsters on life’s great wheel.

Two sculptures entitled ‘Bite It’ and ‘Pink Eye’ (for obvious reasons) by Canadian designer Clem Chen.

The carved out seats – augmented with plastic cast taxidermy moulds and epoxy putty – were made for the ‘Saddle Up!’ show at Vancouver’s Hot Wet City Art Gallery where donated bike seats were modified and reinterpreted by various artists.

Conor Creighton writes:

I’m releasing a book called Saint Frank this month. It was printed on a risograph, hand collated and hand bound I also did the illustrations, oh and I wrote it too. Anyway, it’s a completely independent job so I’m also doing the marketing leg work. If you found a space to tell people about it, I’d be delighted. I describe it as a dirty fairy tale. Oh and Pat McCabe, John Banville and Peter Murphy have all said wonderful things about it.
