Call Parade – an ongoing public art project on the streets of São Paulo in Brazil gives 100 artists a free hand to transform the hooded payphone booths of the city into whatever they see fit. The photos above were taken by Brazilian photographer Marianne Borgomani who sez:
When I lived in Sao Paulo every phone booth (whenever I needed one) were either completely useless or just vandalized. When VIVO (phone carrier) took over the Spanish Telefonica they came up with the Call Parade Project and yesterday I was in awe: when art interacts with people, people respect it. As a result, neat and functional phone booths.
Sure you’d nearly ditch the mobile on the strength of it.
All 100 designs can be viewed here.

In his cunning hipsterisation of these classical statues, photographer Leo Caillard took two sets of pictures: one of the works of art and a corresponding set featuring his friends in similar poses. Then he went shopping.
They’re good, but they’re no Chocolate Molly. Or Old Lady Kavanagh
