The :–2<: (pronounced ‘eye to eye’) Hummingbird Feeder ($80), invented in 2008 by Californian Doyle Doss, is a full-face polycarbonate mask adapted to include a feeder tube for tiny Trochilidae.
Very handy in rural Humboldt county. Less useful in, say, Ringsend.
The Spire — nicknamed the ‘Stiletto in the Ghetto’ — was originally touted as being ‘self-cleaning’ as it was designed to allow rain to flow off, taking any dirt with it. Indeed, because of this it is still believed to require less cleaning than it would otherwise. However, an average of almost €225,000 has been spent on maintaining the structure each year between 2003 and 2011.

City in the Sky is an architectural concept featuring the high-rise structures of a ‘future London’ inspired by the lotus flower. Uploader TsvetanT sez:
The project started in London with few companies and artists invited to create a vision for the future mega developed city. The overall “Megatropolis” project didn’t make it to its final stage but the concept grew into this architectural utopia and animation.
“City in the sky” is a concept about a tranquil oasis above the mega developed and polluted city where one can escape from the everyday buzz, stress and dirt.

One of those creepy X-Ray machines that takes ‘naked pictures’ of you. Interesting to note that in the US, the TSA allow you to politely opt out and go for a pat down. In the UK if you get selected for it, you must go through or not travel. I wonder if Leo and co will go for the UK option?
