Last month, NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter captured the most detailed pictures ever taken of the Apollo12, 14 and 17 landing sites, from 13 miles up. The last moon landing (Apollo 17) was in 1972, but the nearly 40 year-old tracks of the astronauts are still visible, as is their abandoned moon buggy.
