Sources confirmed the review involves a single doctor who has worked at some of the country’s most high-profile private facilities in recent years

The exact details of the cases cannot be published for legal reasons….the incidents relate to medical procedures which took place since 2009 and involve at least 20 female patients…they had raised concerns about severe post-operative complications after their treatment by the same doctor at various hospitals.

The 24 No More, a campaign to force ra eduction in dangerously long working hours for Non consultant hospital doctors (NCHDs) was launched today.

NCHDs regularly work shifts of “more than 24 hours at a time”. The IMO will ballot NCHD members next month on possible industrial action.
