Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2
Fintan Warfield tweetz:
Lunchtime thought: It is something else that Fitzwilliam Square is a private garden with access only for those with a key.
A special outdoor gig TONIGHT in Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin presented by Nialler9 as part of Happenings’ open-air music series?
Oh go on then.
“Come down to the park after work from 7pm until 9:30pm (weather permitting) for a €10 entry and be treated to the sounds of Galway’s Maria Somerville and Dublin’s premier New Orleans-style brass band, Booka Brass Band (top). The 8-piece band have been known to cover Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ [above] and Jason Derulo’s ‘Talk Dirty’. This is your chance to see them play on the grass outdoors…”

There’s some sort of sneaky electric picnic party happening in a park across the road from my office. I asked one of the security guards (it’s a private park) and he said it was all the organisers for electric picnic and oxegen meeting up for some PR event… there’s mini circus tents, yurts (those round tents) a few stalls and Portaloos all set up and ready to go. loads of security tho. FYI all that bunting is made from shirts and pants :-)
