A 500-year-old baptismal font was stolen from a church near Athboy, Co Meath between April 16 and May 10.
But the National Museum of Ireland have tweeted:
“Two jeeps arrived at the site this morning and deposited the font back where it previously stood.”
One of a limited edition of 50 typographic sets based on the Champion (Lightweight) Gothic font, created by Sutherland at Hat Trick Design in the UK. (the King is 5cm tall, the pawns, 3cm)
Each set costs £275 (plus £22 P+P)
