A friend of mine did a thing (which I found out about recently): Pope tweets. Then Robo Pope tweets back the same tweet. But in between its translated from English to Japanese back to English back to Japanese and so on. Fifteen times each way. Sometimes it’s gibberish. But sometimes a little bit funny.

A guy on Whatsapp writes:

If you go to Google translate EN>DE page and type in “a bad day for Europe” it outputs “a good day for Europe” in German. Not sure if its an AI source material scanning mistake or an easter egg from a rogue Google coder but it’s pretty odd – any other “a bad day for…” sentence gives the right translation.

Anyone?

Google Translate

A clever sausage over at Reddit named harrichr worked out how to turn Google Translate into a makeshift beatbox machine.

To try it out:

1) Go to Google Translate

2) Set the translator to translate German to German

3) Copy + paste the following into the translate box: pv zk pv pv zk pv zk kz zk pv pv pv zk pv zk zk pzk pzk pvzkpkzvpvzk kkkkkk bsch

4) Click “listen”

5) Be amazed :)

Or just click this link and it’s done for you
