Dubliner Duncan Cambell, winner of the 2014 Turner Prize
So this year the big Turner Prize,
Goes to one of our own arty guys,
It’s a shame that he ain’t,
One to sit down and paint,
He does modern art, which I despise.

If you’re writing to Santa Claus,
Get scribbling and don’t stop to pause,
Post it soon and thereby,
He’ll have time to reply,
Thus winning your childrens’ applause.

FAI chief executive John Delaney
The FAI met and they chose,
To ignore the events that arose,
When they threatened to sue,
Those who simply spoke true,
Now they’re bringing it all to a close.

For millions of people to stay,
It’s given the right,
One hell of a fright,
So they’ll fight it in some dirty way.

Will all of them start to equate,
Our country with thugs,
Who kill and deal drugs,
And swear at a furious rate?

We can all spare a thought for the men,
So if you have one,
Make sure he has fun,
And let him speak now and again.
