Head of Trauma Services in the HSE Keith Synnott (top) and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris (above centre) among those helping to launch the BikeSafe programme, a Road Safety initiative run by An Garda Síochána specifically aimed at motorcyclists.
The aim is that by assessing (free of charge) your riding skills and passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, advanced Garda motorcyclists ‘can help you to become a safer and more competent rider’.

Officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) conducted a search operation at a ‘compound’ earlier resulting in the seizure of 10 motorcycles, three cars and a sum of cash. Two people have been arrested.
