A rather charming New York story by Mark Cersosimo and Kelsey Holtaway:

On an unseasonably warm November night in Manhattan on our way to get ice cream, we stumbled upon what appeared to be a vintage shop, brightly lit display window and all. As we began to walk in, a man sitting out front warned us that we were welcome to explore, but nothing inside was for sale. Our interests piqued, we began to browse through the collections the man out front had built throughout his life. This is a story of a man and his home.

I was walking down Fifth Avenue, New York, to see the parade for the first time and spotted a tiny St Patrick’s Day gay protest, (the LGBT community are still not represented in the parade ). I thought the first picture I took from my phone of the protest sign was nice (see pic 1). Then I decided to grab a sign and join in ( see pic 3).

After chatting to the other protesters it turned out I was the only one at the protest who was actually Irish and gay! The rest were  just passing by and decided to grab a sign and join in :-)  Thought that was charming.  Oh and that red-headed girl (pic 2) was from the Netherlands. Here’s to firsts!

New York’s gubernatorial debate, which was opened to fringe candidates this year, unearthed a new internet star on Monday night in the charismatically batshit form of Jimmy McMillan.

The inevitable Pixar mashup has now appeared. This will run and run. As will Jimmy.
