Just writing as the notorious internet phenomenon, Slenderman is being brought to life(ish) at Theatre Upstairs in SLENDER a new play by Reality: Check Productions. The internet offline and onstage?
To wit:
‘There have always been whispers in the night… but what if those stories told around the campfire weren’t just stories? On a dark, cold night deep in the forests of Ireland, a chance meeting brings the legend of The Slender Man to life and tests the theory that if you truly believe something is real… it may just become real. After all, once you see him… you are his.’
This Friday and Saturday @ 13h and 19h (with lunch at lunchtime)
Theatre Upstairs, 10- 11 Eden Quay, Dublin 1.

A parody of T2: Judgement Day by Husky Jackal Theatre Company of Nashville Tennessee what sez:
We adhered to strict guidelines regarding the usage of Shakespeare’s works. Each line and phrase is taken directly from folios printed by or before 1685, and many extended sections of dialogue are composed of individual lines from separate works. Only proper nouns and pronouns were subject to change, as dictated by the plot. In these instances, all proper nouns are supplanted only by pronouns or other proper nouns, and all pronouns by other pronouns. In some cases, corresponding verb tenses are modified. These practices enabled us to accurately retell the story of Terminator 2: Judgment Day while remaining true to the words of Shakespeare in form (if less so in intent).
Currently overfunded on Kickstarter, the company has already staged the complete performance and will release a DVD this November.
