A group of giant panda cubs nap at a nursery at the Giant Panda Breeding Centre in Chengdu, in southwest China’s Sichuan province.
China has launched its once-a-decade panda census. According to the last count, there were 1,596 pandas left in the wild in China, with 1,206 of them living in Sichua.

What appears to have happened is that this video, uploaded to Youtube in March, was taken to be actual footage of an 1988 IRA attack on a British Army helicopter. As opposed to animated footage from Bohemia Interactive Studio’s ArmA 2 tactical shooter game.
If you filter out the clatter of mass facepalming, you can probably hear the plaintive yelps of a researcher being kicked.

UK artist Steve Payne has been doing things to 19th century paintings of Russian generals.
George Dawe was an English portrait artist who painted 329 portraits of Russian generals active during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia for the Military Gallery of the Winter Palace, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
I’m using digital copies of these paintings as a basis for my own work which involves incorporating my friends, family and even some celebrities into the paintings using photoshop.
We wish we were his friends. Bodger can really work an epaulette.
