untitled

Conor McBride writes:

…just wanted to drop you a note to let you know a little documentary I directed came second at the Brooklyn Short FIlm Festival this week. ‘

G’wan the Conor!

Untitled’ directed and edited by myself, a Kerry expat in New York of 4 years, profiles an artist turned drag queen in Brooklyn. The film, originally commissioned for Accent Magazine, explores how the life of artist Matthew de Leon has changed since he gave rise to his drag persona, Untitled, 12 months ago. Giving a humanizing insight in to the world of drag the film questions the role art plays in entertainment and vice versa. I hope you enjoy it!

On Thursday night, a group of delivery men in China’s Zhejiang province caught a toddler who fell from the window of a fifth floor apartment, having crawled out after waking from a nap.

Coming together in a ‘human safety net’ to cushion the two and a half year-old’s fall, BBC News Asia reports, two of the men suffered impact injuries to their arms. The little girl, named Qiqi, survived with just a minor wound on her face.

Proceeds from the night will help Christy, who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer, to pay mounting medical bills.

Meanwhile…
