What you may need to know
1. Sly Stallone is back! And he’s digging deep into that address book.
2. The Expendables 2 (2012) was better than The Expendables (2010) thanks to a gonzo Van
Damme turn and a surreal walk-on from a geriatric Chuck Norris.
3. This time out, Bruce Willis asked for too much money, so Sly gave him the boot and called Harrison Ford instead.
4. Always nice to see confirmed anti-Semite and monumental asshole Mel Gibson. Not really.
5. Also: Wesley Snipes. Free at last! And KELSEY ‘FRASIER’ GRAMMER!
6. Broadsheet Prognosis: Where’s Nicolas Cage?
Release date: August 15

Expectant mother Yasmin gets an itch.
Catherine O’Connor writes:
“Captured in the middle of the night using infra-red cameras female Asian elephant Yasmin showed some interesting behaviour. Picking up a long slender stick with her trunk she scratched her ear with great skill. A behaviour that has not been observed at Dublin Zoo before…”

Kathleen was just 20 when she went into Airmount Maternity Hospital in Waterford to have her second child in 1966…little Patrick was transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin for a “small procedure” – and never seen again.
It was only after decades of heartache and secrecy that she discovered he was buried in a pauper’s grave in Dublin’s Glasnevin Cemetery.
[Kathleen] also found out her little son’s heart and lungs had been removed for research purposes.

Today our whole nation is shook,
By the path that a sports pundit took,
When he went on TV,
Where children could see,
And spoke the unspeakable: “fuck”.
