You’re right, there’s one over by St Patrick’s cathedral on Clanbrassil St… but for long is anyone’s guess.

I vaguely remember it as a kid but yeah, its been closed for eons.
Would have been nice if it could have been converted to a cafe like the one in Harold’s Cross.
Or a pub like ‘The Temple’ in Manchester
I don’t remember any public loo there. Where? That was a bicycle rack.
Think about the structure that was about a metre above ground level with steps leading down to it from a locked gate. Or look it up on google street view.
It would have been nice to have a pic, you know, one looking at it, as opposed to away from and over it, after the fact :)

It’s really absurd not to have public toilets available anywhere in Dublin. The city is not solely a commercial space, and you shouldn’t have to buy something to use a bathroom.
You can hop into any pub and use their toilets, most don’t mind. Its a pity we don’t try and keep these structures instead. We’ll just knock it down and build something crapper instead, like any office building thrown up in the 60’s..

Is Dublin the only city in the world afraid to tackle heroin addicts? Is it cause they smell? And have needles? Is that the issue?
How would you ‘tackle’ a heroin addict, out of interest? What’s your plan?
I’m not a paid government official. I don’t live in Dublin. Writing this sentence is as far as I can go. It’s up to you now friend. Maybe email a normal country and ask them how they are allowed to shit at other toilets that aren’t their own or a pubs. Good luck!!!
Well you tackle the addiction and any mental illness involved. You also tackle the issues that allow people to end up like that.
