Donald Trump with the executive order banning citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for 90 days

The Donald treats the constitution
Like a hasty new year’s resolution
All men are made equal
Now has a sad sequel
Of savage and vile persecution.

If only there was as much of an outcry when Obama’s drones were busy killing Muslims. Sadly, for the Snowflakes and Co, the only Muslim worth protesting for is a live one.

There should have been, I think the dark extent of that will only become more apparent over the years.

Doesn’t take away from the despicable nature of Trumps acts

If you’re the one who’s so offended by it, why are people who actually protest the snowflakes? Surely, you’re the snowflake? You constantly appear on here to whine about liberals because of some perceived slight. It’s a very peculiar projection.

The issue is the treatment of civilians versus combatants, a subtle point I know.
The use of drones was to limit American casualties while offering greater accuracy and accountability without mass invasions. (Combat troop numbers were reduced from 150,000 to about 14,000.)

Civil governments offered information on terrorist cells operating in their countries.
Every mission was tracked and recorded, the behaviour and weaponry of the targets were verified before striking and every misstep and mistake printed and published around the world.
In contrast I have found that there are disputes over ranges of hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties from the Bush war of terror.

(I think it absolutely astonishing that I should ever find myself explaining the actions of an American administration, but these matters are and were widely discussed)

Confusing ‘tongue-in-cheek” sentiment with actual “hand-on-pussy” molestation is such an easy mistake to make, Clamps… I see exactly how you came to that conclusion…

          1. De Kloot

As opposed to pussy hound ya mean?! But no, other news hounds took care of that for me. Hate to break it to ya, Clamps, but your great white hope is quite the deviant. Among other things…

And if Trump didn’t have such a history with things like sexual assault, and cases being brought against him for his conduct towards women, him making that pussy-grabbing comment wouldn’t have been nearly so damaging to him.

Because you and I both know he wasn’t joking.

Just a thought, old chap. Just a thought. It’s possible she didn’t mean to trigger you….

      whataboutery
      /ˌwɒtəˈbaʊtəri/
      noun
The technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counter-accusation or raising a different issue.

        1. Daisy Chainsaw

No whataboutery about it! Trump publicly “joked” about having Hillary Clinton murdered. How is it different to India Knight’s tweet?

It’s almost like his campaign promises were actual promises.

    Terrifying.

I think I prefer when they over promise and under deliver.

Too much news at the moment. And it’s only week two! Christ.

People voted for him and they knew things like this are part of his policies. And before people say but 3million more voted for Hilary. Its just less than 1% of the population. So not massive. Saying that I still don’t know what people were thinking.

    1. Bob

Well in total it’s about 11 million people voted for him. And many thought he was exaggerating about the things he’d do and now are horrified by it. And if those 11 million (or even 3 million were in red states, they could have turned the election the other way. So it’s not that much of an insignificant number.

      1. Anomanomanom

But those votes didnt matter. What really mattered was people not voting assuming he wouldn’t win.

Surprisingly few posts on Broadsheet about the huge developments in the US that affects the world at large. Especially considering there’s protests in Shannon and the whole petition to stop Enda heading over with his bowl of shamrock.

There are 3 Countries in the world where Trump’s ban is being enforced:

    The US
    Canada
    Ireland

So, what ya gonna do about that?

    1. mildred st. meadowlark

Can you give me a link to where you got that info? I’m not doubting, I just wanted a read.

    2. Murtles

There’s chaos in Dubai International at the moment as that is a hub for US flights and most of the banned countries fly through there. People who have been living in the States for years and were home to visit relatives not being allowed back in. There’ll be a lot of uncollected cars in airport parking lots stateside soon if this mess isn’t sorted out.

  6. Spaghetti Hoop

He’s some lad for the banning….any countries banning HIM? Poor folk stranded at airports though – that is serious.
