Lumo’s all-day summer outdoor and indoor party is happening this Saturday July 1st down by the water in Dublin city centre in the Garda Boat Club. We’ll be starting on the lawn and moving inside for the night.

There’s free drinks on arrival courtesy of Absolut for early partiers, We’ll have Surf’n’Fries on hand with food and we’ve also got music from Lumo DJs, Limerick’s Olivia Chau, a Yacht rock special from Sing Along Social, Kildare’s hardest working DJ Deece and a live electronic set from I Am The Cosmos. The Here’s How current affairs podcast tackles the thorny topic of identity politics.

Host William Campbell writes:

Hundreds of women signed a letter titled Cop on Comrades condemning an Irish Times article by novelist Frankie Gaffney’s and particularly condemning men who shared it online.

Frankie Gaffney’s piece had criticised aspects of identity politics as a waste of time and energy for activists on the left. The Here’s How podcast talks to one of the signatories, Sinead Redmond and asks if he had a point.
