This afternoon.
It has been announced that the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 will take place from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
The Paralympic Games Tokyo all take place from August 24 to September 5, 2021.
The announcement followed a conference call between the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Government of Japan.
It follows the announcement last week that the games would be postponed.

The Six Nations committee has decided to postpone the last day of matches until Halloween as concerns ramp up around the coronavirus.
Federations met on Monday morningThe games affected include Wales v Scotland and France v Ireland, and follows the disruption of Ireland’s clash against Italy and England’s trip to face the Italians in Rome.
The entire final round of Six Nations matches ‘could be postponed’ and will not be played until a Hallowe’en ‘Super Saturday’ on October 31’….
