An extremely nifty rotoscoping, stop-motion video for NY trip-hopster Son Lux’s ‘Change Is Everything’ created by Nathan Johnson and Katie Chastain from The Made Shop, with nothing but pins and rubberised thread.
And time. Lots of time.
The making of feature shows the painstaking process of creating 4000 separate frames, pin by pin.
A collaborative experiment between 14 artists around the globe. To wit:
Each artist creates a background, all backgrounds are traded randomly and then animated upon freely.
A montage of various Disney villains getting their comeuppance from gravity (which has happened a lot over the years) by ChiefBrodyRules.
A poignant animation for The School of Life based on a short piece of writing by Alain De Botton.
Directed and animated by Hannah Jacobs and Lara Lee with music by Tom Rosenthal.
