There’s a very real #FOI issue within the whole #tuambabies horror; Catherone Corless was charged INDIVIDUALLY for the 796 death records.

We’ve all been there.
In fairness.
“A Drunk Irishman who punched a police horse twice while wearing only his underwear and one sock has been placed on a good behaviour bond with no conviction recorded.
…Today in sentencing submissions, [Colm] Keogh’s lawyer, Con O’Neill, said he had been at a Christmas party earlier in the evening at the Hilton Hotel — but “not the posh Hilton”, his lawyer said, the one on South Rd.
Mr O’Neill said his client remembered getting in a taxi then finding himself on Hindley St in his underwear and wearing one sock, “sleeping it off”
It’s worth repeating.
Why do all the good ones go?
WHY?
Man only wearing underwear and one sock when he attacked a police horse in Hindley St, court hears (CourierMail))

“On June 24th 2012 journalist Eugene Moloney was assaulted on his way home and a single blow to the head by his assailant killed him and he died on Camden Street [Dublin]. The killer was sentenced to five years in jail for manslaughter with two years suspended.
Eugene was a huge music fan. He had been a music journalist for Independent Newspapers and was working as a freelance journalist for the Irish Daily Mail at the time of his death. He was a friend to many media colleagues and musicians and is sorely missed. A group of these musicians are celebrating Eugene’s life with a concert in Whelans. Conceived and organised by his relative Oisin Leech from The Lost Brothers and friends Fleadh Cowboy Pete Cummins it will take place on the second anniversary of his tragic and untimely death.”

4. The cast includes Rufus Sewell, John Hurt, Ian McShane and Joseph ‘Ralph
said no’ Fiennes.

This year’s DIT 2014 Graduate Photography Exhibition officially opens tonight and runs until June 15th in the Gallery of Photography and National Photographic Archive in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin. It’s a collection of new work by visual artists from arguably the most respected photography course in Ireland (I would say that, being a graduate), and there will probably be some free wine too.
Above: the work of Angela Hayes, Michael Keane, Ciaran Healy and Phoebe Gill.
See samples of the work of all photographers featured here.
