The Hill, Ranelagh, Dublin 6, yesterday.

6ft tall Bruce Lee statue so this is larger than life size. I bought this about 15 years ago from a company that had imported it for a theme restaurant that never opened …Michael Jackson owned one just like him, although I’m not sure that’s a good endorsement….
Thanks Nick Moran

Bruce Lee playing ping pong with nunchucks.
Sadly, all is not as it seems. See this article from a few months back.
Still pretty damned awesome though.
The Canadian author and journalist, Pierre Berton hosted his own talk show in the 60s and early 70s. Among his many iconic guests were Malcolm X (1965), Lenny Bruce (1966), and Bruce Lee.
This is the only in-depth interview Lee ever took part in. It was filmed at the end of 1971, 20 months before his death, subsequently lost, then rediscovered in 1994, when it was aired as a TV special.
Sure, it’s 25 minutes long. But if you’re any class of a Lee fan, that’s a good thing.
This clip’s been doing the rounds lately, to a predictable chorus of ‘awesome’ and ‘OMG’. Sadly, it’s just an excellent, why-can’t-it-be-true fake: a CGI viral ad for a Bruce Lee edition of the Nokia N96 released in China and Hong Kong back in 2008.
Anyway, Bruce would have done it blindfolded.
