‘A Night at The Cobblestone’.

An evening of trad in the recently-rescued Smithfield, Dublin 7 musical boozer.

Craig writes:

To celebrate Dublin’s culture and community, District has created a film that documents live Irish Trad music performances from inside the Cobblestone.

You don’t have to be a regular at The Cobblestone to feel a connection to the pub, even if you only darken its door once a year you still feel an affection for it and I think that’s why so many people cared when the redevelopment plan was announced.

The film features Ispíní na hÉireann, Sam Noonan, Emmet O’Brien, Adam Mohamed and other very special guests.

Shot and edited by Collective Films, A Night At The Cobblestone will premiere on the District Youtube channel on Tuesday, December 21 at 6pm.

Been there?

Now buy the t-shirt.

District Magazine writes:

We’ve spent the past year highlighting the worst kips on Daft in Dublin in our series, Living Hell.

Though our bi-weekly pieces rip the piss out of sheds for rent in people’s back gardens, we’re deadly serious about making a change.

That’s why we’ve released a new Living Hell t-shirt complete with our new logo to raise vital funds for charities in Ireland that tackle homelessness.

50 per cent of the proceeds will go straight to the organisations providing support for people across the country without a roof over their heads, with the remainder going towards campaigns that raise awareness about the crisis.

And they’re designed by Paul Smith!

Craig writes:

A specially commissioned piece for To Be Irish, District Magazine has produced ‘Homecoming’ a short film about Irish people abroad who are unable to return home for Christmas.
