President Joe Biden will receive a routine colonoscopy today while he is undergoing a physical at Walter Reed. The process, which requires anesthesia, means that he will temporarily transfer power to Kamala Harris, who will briefly become the 1st woman President.

A video apparently showing the moment former US vice president Joe Biden asked California Senator Kamala Harris to be his running mate.

Senator Harris tweeted the video out earlier, a day after it was announced that she would join the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee on the ballot as the party’s vice presidential nominee.
